Chris Vanjonack is an M.F.A. candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an editorial assistant for Ninth Letter, and a former language arts teacher from Fort Collins, Colorado, where he co-founded Slamogadro, and wrote + performed in three wildly unprofessional theater productions for the Fort Collins Fringe Festival.

He is a recipient of the 2020 AWP Intro Journals Award, and his fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in One Story, Hobart, The Rumpus, CRAFT Literary, Quarterly West, Carve Magazine, and elsewhere.
