About

Chris Vanjonack is an M.F.A. candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a reader for Ninth Letter and No Contact, and an occasional contributor to Denver Westword. He's also a former language arts teacher from Fort Collins, Colorado, where he co-founded Slamogadro, and wrote + performed in three wildly unprofessional theater productions for the Fort Collins Fringe Festival.

He is a recipient of the 2020-2021 AWP Intro Journals Award, and his fiction and creative non-fiction have appeared or are forthcoming in One Story, Barrelhouse, DIAGRAM, Electric Literature, The Rumpus, CRAFT Literary, and elsewhere.

This summer, he'll teach one day of Write With One Story II, a generative writing course through the literary mag, One Story.
